Be a Luscious Lightworker | Maven Mindset

luscious-lightworker-blog-cover.png

Being a Lightworker and/or an Empath is not always an easy task. You have chosen to incarnate on this planet at this time in history for a particular purpose - your spiritual vocation. Here are some ways to help you stay lusciously shiny and feeling your best through it all!

Luscious Lightworker + Enigmatic Empath Tips

Spiritual Protection

Call in your angels and your guides to surround you in the white light of protection. Archangel Michael is a great spiritual warrior and protector. Invite him into your energy to create a shield of protection around you. Spiritual and Psychic Protection is extremely important to have up when going into toxic environments. Perhaps you have a rough relationship with a coworker, volatile communication with a family member, or maybe you just go to a party and feel vulnerable? It is also important for environments where there will be a lot of buzzing, clashing, and swirling energies abound like a mall or busy restaurant.

Is this mine or someone else's?

When you feel overwhelmed by emotion or when you are having a great day and decide to go out with friends only to return sad and depressed. In those moments, try and see if you can separate the thoughts from the emotions and ask yourself the question of if these emotions really belong to you. Catalog everything you are feeling and try to determine to the best of your ability if you're really angry or if you just happened to pick up your anger from the guy at the bar or your girlfriend's heartache after a fight with her boyfriend.

Clearing your energy + your space

Keeping your aura clear and fresh is a major part of spiritual hygiene, plus it just feels damn good! Use florida water to create an aura mist or get a smudge stick and sage yourself, your home, and your property. You can even get a himalayan salt lamp. See how re-arranging the furniture in a particular room in your home changes the flow of energy. Cleanse your crystals and other magical tools.

Stay grounded

Ground your energy daily to help keep you mindful of the here and now. This will also help to release excess energy or emotions into the earth. Staying grounded is also extremely important in helping you to adjust to and assimilate higher vibrations.

Taking a step back + away from toxic situations

This is important so as not to have your energy drained by toxic situations. The first part of this is being able to recognize an unhealthy situation for what it is. Know when and where to focus your energies. Try not to engage in toxic and unhealthy habits, behaviors, and situations that are not for your best and highest good.

Some may just not understand and that's okay

Some of your family members and friends may not embrace or understand what you do or why you're doing it. Some may think you're crazy or woo-woo or airy fairy and flaky. Send these people love and keep your practice if that is what your soul tells you to do. Just because they may not understand your path, does not mean that they're bad people or carry a low vibration or are not a part of your soul tribe.

Keep spreading your light anyway

Even though there may be naysayers, shine anyway. Even though you may be frustrated, shine anyway. Even when you feel like you're not being heard, shine anyway. Even when you feel unappreciated and unnoticed, shine anyway. When you feel alone in your cause, shine anyway. When you feel beat down and worn, allow your heart to shine anyway.

Work with high vibe crystals and stones that protect your energy

Some of my favorite crystals for this purpose are selenite, clear quartz, apophyllite, elestial quartz, moldavite, nuumite, aqua aura quartz, celestite, rose quartz, tektite, amethyst, and scocelite. There are many more out there. Don't be afraid to do research on your own. If you're new to the vibration of crystals, be cautious as some of the crystals listed above carry an intense vibration that may make you uncomfortable (like being lightheaded, hot, dizzy, or feeling your body vibrate) if you're not accustomed to the vibration! This is why grounding is important.

Meditate often

Get in touch with your soul. Talk to your Higher Self. De-stress and calm yourself. Clear your mind. Find peace. Sink into your heart center. Meditation is great for stress relief, soul searching, increasing your sense of happiness, and boosting your creativity! It also helps to connect you to the world of spirit, the higher realms, and raises your vibration.

Connect with your spirit guides regularly

They have much guidance and love to share with you. I have had the most beautiful experiences with my spirit guides - especially one's that started in meditation and carried on into the waking world. They send you beautiful signs and symbols if you open your eyes and ears to it!

Drink plenty of water

This keeps your energy clear and flowing as well as helps you stay hydrated. I also believe drinking water helps to strengthen your connection to spirit. The more spiritual work you do, the more water you may drink.

Eat more foods that keep your vibration high

Fruit and veggie it up Lightworker friends! Invite more color into your diet. Try to eat organic when you can. These foods are less dense and keep your vibration lighter as your body isn't busy working on digesting heavier foods like meats and cheeses.

Stop comparing your spiritual journey

Refrain from comparing someone else's experience and knowledge to your own. Whether it be ego and pride or from a lack of self-confidence - cut it out. Seriously love, let it go. All this does is lower your vibration and traps you in a state of insecurity. How can you shine your light as brightly as possible, when you continue to turn your spotlight in someone else's direction? Besides, you have your own unique perspective that needs to be shared. Focus on you and what makes you happy. Those who inspire you did not become a success or full of spiritual wisdom overnight. It took years of lessons, tears, and hard work. You never know what someone else went through or is currently going through. You are exactly where you are meant to be right now in your journey. Embrace it in love. Spiritual growth is not a competition.

2017 The Year of the Lightworker

2017-year-of-the-lightworker-blog-cover.png

The Year of the Visionary. The Year of the Mystic. The Year of the Lightworker. A 1 year in numerology. And a year of some major manifesting! Whew - you may be wondering where to put your focus in 2017. Here are some 2017 SuperPowers you can use to help you start the year off right and embrace all of your shimmering Lightworker self!

Energetic Clearing + Protection

This is a biggie! Tighten up, deepen, and expand you knowledge of energy clearing and protection. Keep the Sage and clearing spray on hand! As the vibration of the planet is shifting, its important to protect yourself energetically every day - especially if you happen to be an empath. Keeping your energy fresh will help you to feel more like yourself this year and will help you to shine your inner light even brighter. By clearing out energetic junk, you'll make room for new and better to come into your life all year long!

Heart Chakra Healing + Forgiveness

To help you be the best Lightworker possible, put more focus on healing your heart. 2016 was about releasing, letting go, shaking our foundations, and waking us up. 2017 is going to be about healing from this and offering forgiveness to ourselves and others. Work on healing, strengthening, and expanding the Heart Chakra. Get to know rose quartz, green calcite, malachite, and other Heart Chakra stones. Work with their vibration. I also feel the energy of Mother Mary will be extremely beneficial in helping us to open our hearts to more love and wonderment than ever before.

Solar Plexus Chakra + MAJOR Manifesting Power

2017 is about knowing and getting comfortable with your own power and manifestation abilities. Gain confidence in yourself, your skills, and your abilities. Know that you are strong. Tap into your sense of will and determination to help make your dreams a reality. Listen to your gut instincts. What is your sense of clairsentience telling you? Working with your Solar Plexus Chakra will help you to get in touch with your personal manifesting power. Strengthen this energy center. Work with its golden sunshine yellow energy. As 2017 is a 1 year numerologically, we will be called to be leaders. To be strong. To set an example. In the tarot, the 1 is the Magician. The most powerful manifestor of all. Invite more Magician energy into your life and space. Work closely with this card this year. The Magician comes into our lives to let us know we have all the power we need to create whatever reality we wish.

Crystal Companions to Help You Along the Way

Black Obsidian - For protection, transmuting negative energy, grounding, and working with your shadow

Clear Quartz - To amplify your intentions, manifesting, connecting to your soul and Spirit

Pink Tourmaline - For forgiveness, heart healing, love, and truth

Selenite - For energy clearing, working with the Crown Chakra, and inviting high vibes into your space

Workshops, Classes, + Courses

Learn as much as you can this year! Dive deep. There will be a hunger that only knowledge and spiritual development can fulfill. Have you been wanting to learn the tarot? Numerology? Understand your natal chart better? Or maybe you just want to deepen your overall spiritual knowledge? Take a class, facilitate a workshop, create an e-course. Perhaps write a 'how to' guide based on your experiences. Get your gift out there. Hone it and own it! Share it with the world. Bring your gifts to the forefront and make their development a priority this year!

What is there for us to gain this year? What is ours for the taking?

Independence + Leadership

These themes vibrate to the number 1 which is exactly the vibration of 2017 (2 + 0 + 1 + 7 = 10 and 1 + 0 = 1). This is the year for the Lightworker in you to take center stage! To come out of the closet. Find your sense of independence. Know that it is okay to stand out in a crowd, to follow your heart even though naysayers may be screaming in your ear. Fight for your truth. Lead by example. Don't be afraid to extend a helping hand! It may be trying and a bit intimidating, however, you do have a team of guides, angels, ancestors, and loved ones in spirit who are ready and willing to help! Don't be afraid to ask the Universe for courage and guidance this year.

Stepping Fully Into Your Soul's Purpose

If you have been waiting to give yourself permission to start your business, expand your business, to share your gifts, to help heal others, to deepen your study, to put yourself out there - This. Is. It. No more hesitation. Step fully into who you are. Embrace your gifts. No more hiding in the shadows. No more worrying about the opinions of others. Your gift is a gift to the world. So why are you hiding it dear one? No more flirting around with the idea. Step in fully and completely into who you are. Don't just dip your toes into the water - dive in! Now is not the time to be shy. It is not the time for meekness. Be bold! Be daring! Be colorful you. Allow your true spirit and intentions to shine through. As you do this, your light will begin to ignite the flame in the heart's of others.

Shine bright this year, dear one! I believe in you  <3

Appreciation for the Journey on the Road to Awakening | Maven Mindset

woman-on-the-road-appreciation-for-journey-cover.jpg

Looking back at your journey thus far, I'm sure you've learned a lot along the way. You may wish you were better prepared before you embarked on this expedition of self-discovery, but you wouldn't trade your unique experience for anything. Here are some things I've learned thus far in my own journey, as well as what I have come to appreciate about the journey of soul and self-discovery, the road of awakening, and the journey of being your most authentic self...

You're learning what is of heartfelt importance to you. You're better at bringing your focus back to the present. To look back and see how far you've come. Don't sweat the small stuff! Let it go. In the grand scheme go things, is it really that big of a deal? Don't stress about all that you have left to do, dream about, and accomplish. You know it will happen when it's meant to, so there is no need to attach to outcomes.

You have an appreciation for the process of letting go. You've gotten better at releasing! YES! Although it is never easy, the more you do it, the better you become at surrendering. You realize that releasing is vital to the health of not only your immortal soul, but also your human body. You can recognize a good release by the way you stand taller, your shoulders relax, your neck muscles aren't as tight. Everything about your energy is just lighter!

You understand the value of slow steady growth. Is a weed that sprouts up over night stronger than a great oak? You take time to stop and smell the flowers. To relish in the experience. To sink-in to the journey. To allow the road, your soul purpose, to become part of the way you walk and talk. You're not in any rush - where is the fun in that? You'd rather savor every moment, every lesson along the way. That way you really learn them- maybe even the first time around! Strong foundations are important to you. You want your knowledge and experience to have a backbone. Something to stand on that speaks all for itself.

girl-throwing-fall-leaves-appreciate-the-journey.jpg

You've learned some warning signs - who and who not to trust. You have become a better judge of character (by getting to know yourself), but not judgmental - you just know who you would like to invite into your energy and who you'd rather keep at a bit of a distance. You know to pick your battles wisely. To not feed into another's negative behavior. To not get wrapped up in other people's drama - remember, not my circus, not my monkeys. You understand the insanely crazy value of setting boundaries and how it is a benefit to not only you, but also to others in your life as well.

You're getting better at that little thing called Self-Talk. You've been working on healing thoughts of a comparing nature. You understand that the grass really isn't always greener on the other side, but you are too busy focusing on pulling your own weeds, sowing seeds, and spreading fertilizer to notice your neighbor's lawn.  You've become better at freeing yourself from self-oppressing thoughts, self-sabotage, and lower vibrational patterns of behavior. You truly know the worth of thinking positively and the power of your own manifestation abilities!

You have a ton of excitement and hope for the future! You can over come anything and you know that now! You see all of the remnants of past challenges behind you - in a cloud of smoke, lying in the dust. You tore threw them like a hurricane (even though it may not have felt that way in the moment).  You are more sure of where you want to go, what you're looking for, and have a better idea of how to get it. You know where to look for opportunities. Understand the value and deep worth of self-expression. You're better able to determine when and when not to take action. You're more daring and ready for new adventures!

What have you learned on your journey of awakening thus far? What lessons are you currently grappling with? I'd love to hear your insights!

Rock Your Chakras!

chakra-love-pic.jpg

Show your Chakras some L.O.V.E.

Our chakras play a major role in our health, vitality, and well being. The health of our chakras affects our relationship with ourselves, others, and the world around us. Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning "wheel of life". There are 7 major chakras in our body. (I go into detail about all 7 Chakras on my YouTube channel. You can view my Rock Your Chakras! videos here). They are at points along our spine from the base of the spine all the way up to the crown of our head and each has its own color association. They all govern different areas of our life, body, and human experience. These whirling vortexes of energy are as follows:

  1. Root Chakra - Red
  2. Sacral Chakra - Orange
  3. Solar Plexus Chakra - Yellow
  4. Heart Chakra - Green
  5. Throat Chakra - Blue
  6. Third Eye Chakra - Indigo
  7. Crown Chakra - Purple

Each chakra has it’s own vibration or frequency. The lower chakras (root to solar plexus) have a more dense vibration and the higher chakras (heart to crown) have a higher vibration. Our lower chakras connect us with Mother Earth and nature. Our higher chakras connect us with our Higher Self, Spirit, Universe, and the Divine. The chakras work separately but they also work together as well. They support each other for the highest growth possible. Think of a tree - it needs to have strong roots and a steady foundation to flourish and stand tall!

We need to have a strong foundation before working too much with the higher chakras as their high vibration can sometimes be overwhelming or intense - especially when first starting to work with them. When I first started meditating I would feel sick afterwards because my body wasn't used to such a high vibration. I could feel my soul shaking inside of me - it was awesome and a bit scary at the same time. The more I worked with it and the more I worked with my lower chakras and grounding, the more enriching it became. So in my experience, a strong foundation - as it is with anything else - is very important.

What does it mean to have a blocked/unbalanced chakra?

Since chakras are spinning wheels of light, a wheel can get stuck (blocked chakra), move too slow (unbalanced - not open enough), or move too fast (unbalanced - too open). This can cause an unbalance in our physical bodies and can negatively affect how we interact with the world around us. If unbalanced, the color of that chakra may be dull or not as strong if you look at it clairvoyantly. Now why does this happen? The cause of an unbalanced chakra is often a response to emotional pain, trauma, regrets, fears, worries, etc. The energy is not flowing as it should be. Having a blocked chakra can manifest in our lives in different ways from insecurity and anger to depression and anxiety to hyper-sexuality and co-dependency.

Why should you care about the health of your chakras?

When your chakras are in alignment, here are some things you can experience:

  • Happiness
  • Having more energy
  • Improve how you interact with others
  • Be calmer in stressful situations
  • Helps you to live a more balanced and conscious life
  • An improved and deeper connection to Spirit
  • Most importantly - a deeper knowledge of yourself and your soul!

Rock your Salacious 7!

If you'd like to learn more about working with the individual chakras, how to tell when a certain chakra is unbalanced, how to balance it, and (my fave) crystals for each chakra and how to work with them, then definitely check out my YouTube series  Rock Your Chakras! for TONS of great info!

Stay gorgeous beautiful soul!
